HW-101 Birdies

Hi,
In answer to your question, I would say it is yes and no. My HW-101 has a
few birdies, but not very many and they are not too loud. In fact my manual
states:
"It is not abnormal to receive "birdies" in the vicinity of 3740kHZ and
21,200 kHZ.
Another place in the manual, I can't find it right now, says that if you
are receiving a birdie at 21.2 that everything is pretty well aligned and
working.
Like I said I do have a few, as the manual states but they are not very
loud as you describe. Not to ask too dumb of a question, but is it possible
tht for whatever reason, is you xtal calibrator stuck on ?
