IN keeping with the theme of 'backwards building Heathkits...' couldn't resist..

Now, I can see the manual step that tells the debuilder, prior to removing parts,
"First, move all the slugs of all the coils to the top of their respective forms. Rotate
all the variable capacitors to fully unmeshed condition. Rotate all variable
potentiometers to the far right hand range of motion. Then, key the transmitter for more
than 30 seconds. Check to make sure that the final stage plate current reading is 300
ma, the grid current reading is at least 40, and the output power is zero. Reddish
color plates are OK and are normal."
On second thought.. we builders did that when we BUILT 'em. Never mind. Heath thought of
everything! heh.
