INformation needed... HD1481 weak ?

        I have an unused HD1481 remote antenna switch, which
Chuck Penson mentions in his book is intolerant of any
significant SWR....
        Does anyone have first hand information on what
the failure on this unit is? This is the remote switch which
does NOT have a hardwired switch control but sends
the switching commands through the coax.

        Are there any fixes or workarounds?
