MR-1010 DF: manual, value?

Hello, fellow greenies...
Really, it's not that I've been inattentive; I've just had a couple of OS
failures (Win95 -- *fizzle*) with concurrent email archive dumps :( So,
with that lame preface out'a the way...
I've recently found that the near-mint Heathkit MR-1010 Direction Finder
that I took in on a trade a few years ago (serial 005xx) works like a champ
(OK, a near-champ). Case is very nice, with only a few minor wear marks.
Speaking strictly as a BC AM receiver, I'm amazed at how sensitive one of
these can be, and it even has nice fidelity.
One detectable flaw, though: The digital display seems to remain on 1549,
despite the tuning controls working (everything seems strung correctly,
etc.) So, unless someone has one of those handy "Replace the silicon diode
from the chassis screw to pin 3 of the first terminal strip" kind of fixes,
I guess I need a manual. Oh yeah, and it needs one of the two D-cell
retainer caps.
This beastie isn't in the Virtual Museum, so I'd appreciate any pointers to
URLs or other resources for tech help, manuals, etc.
Also, any suggestions as to value? For me, its greatest value is as a
really hot BC RX, which is not enough to make me keep it if some collector
or person with a more legit need than I have wants it. As ever, I'm
interested in sumpin' to get on 6M SSB/CW, or a QRP rig, etc., but have no
idea what would be a "fair" trade.
Any help?
Thanks from sunny Soldotna, Alaska BP40-sumpin'...
73,
