HW-101 Low output on 40 meters

Hello,

When I bought my HW-101, the plates of the final tune variable cap.
were bent and shorting together and the unit had no output.  I fixed
this but now my 101 seems to have problems outputting full power
on 40 meters into a dummy load or into my antenna.  On all other
bands, I am able to get 90-100 watts out but only get about 40-50
watts on 40 meters. Has anyone else had this problem with their 101
and have you been able to solve it?  I have seen the service bulletin
HW-101-4 which describes some modifications to the grounding of
the bandswitch shields, driver plate, and drive grid boards (shorten
ground wires) and removing some spring clips from the coil cover.  I
have tried this mod and it didn't help much.  Any suggestions???
