Hello, Shelley.

WAY TO GO !
Congratulations to KC8KRN and KC8KRQ !

I'm one of the grumpy O.F.'s who seems to be negative about recently proposed
changes in our licensing structure.
Please know that it is the ESTABLISHMENT which I have problems with and NOT
with proud individuals, like yourselves, who are entering our great hobby.

You're in for some really groovy experiences as you travel down Ham Highway.

I remember, as though it were yesterday, that day in 1965 when the mailman
delivered WN4BJC to the front door of a kid, then age 13. I just stood there
for several minutes, holding onto my brand new " ticket " and shaking and
trying to read my callsign.
I also remember screaming " Dad, Dad... I got him !!! " the evening I made my
first contact on 40 meter CW. I was so excited that Dad, W4MAI, had to do
the copying for that first one... or two .
And that summer afternoon when VK3APJ in Australia came back to me on 15 meter
CW... OH, MAN ! At that time I was using a homebrew 2 element 15 meter beam
antenna which Dad had designed and which we built together.
Believe me, I KNOW how you feel... WONDERFUL !!!

Whatever mode you use, whatever band you use it on... ENJOY !!!
Oh, by the way... KC8KRN sounds really cool on CW as does KC8KRQ !
Hint, hint :)
