Heath manuals (non-working rigs)

Murray et al.:

Since Murray has brought up subject of Heathkits from hamfests, and
their working/non-working status....   Has anyone *ever* bought one
that was working correctly 100 per cent??  I have several Heath rigs
here, many from hamfests, none have met specs w/o at least some
benchwork.  IMHO, when considering the purchase of a Heathkit, at a
hamfest, one should always consider it non-working......probably
not a bad idea for *any* rig.
