GC-1000 and year 2000

The following comment about the GC-1000 and Y2K concerns comes straight
from the man who wrote the firmware--Terry Purdue.    I did some slight
editing for length and personal content. . .

WWV sends a bit (actually two bits, as I recall) that
signals the coming and going of DST, but I don't believe [the GC-1000]
uses the date information from WWV, so there shouldn't be a problem.

And this from Jim,

If you are using the RS232 adapter in the clock, and you are interested
in
having it spit out the time and date, the year is set with dip switches
on
the bottom of the clock.....there are 4 switches, representing the the
years
AFTER 1983  with all switches on, 1983 +15 = 1998.....doesn't sound like
it'll make it to 2xxx

The clock display portion of the GC1000 will still function, however
