Hi John (& list),
In May, I placed a posting about HP-23 capacitors (re:Capacitors). There
I suggested replacing the 125uf/450V with 330uf/450V units and described
how to do it. I have done this on three pwr supplies and it works well.
I have also discussed this with a guy that makes a living resurected
Heath ham gear (Bill,W0QNI) and he said that if the pressure release on
the bottom of the cap is not bulged or there isn't black stuff around it,
the capacitor is probably OK. He said he hardly ever replaces then. And
he wouldn't tell where he got them when he did replace them -- HI.
Business is business.

Hi all Green people....I know this was asked on the server before but
I never read an answer. Does anyone know of direct filter cap
replacements?
I have a few HPs' to retrofit.
Thanks in advance,
John
