Rebuild?? **Your advice please**

I came across an old Heath stereo amp using EL34s.
It looks like it was built yesterday!. Even the line chord is
smooth and clean. The plastic is shiney, and all metal pieces are
bright and shiney.
Now, while the soldering looks good enough, the problem is that it looks like
none of the component leads were clipped to correct length.
All the resistors are hanging by long lead lengths.
I have not tried it yet, 'cuz I want to make sure none of those long
leads are touching anything they shouldn't.

Do you think I should just 'unbuild' it and put it back together with
new resistors?
Its not RF, so the lead lengths should not matter sonically. Or perhaps
it will matter in the pickup of hum??
What do you think?
