Al,
There is a mod the is in the Heath archives that suggests placing an
8volt zener across the ALC out of the amp to limit the voltage excursion
when driving the amp woith a Kenwood xciter. I measured my SB-200 that
I recently acquired, as I was interested in whether it would interface
to the Drake C-line. Voltage measured was about 4.5 volts tops no
matter how hard I drove it. I do think that there is a problem with my
internals and I intend to take a look at it when I tear it apart to put
in some mods.
That's all I have....GL....Rick...W5RH
