Painting Knobs?

I recently acquired an unassembled SA-2060 tuner without knobs.  I have some
extra SB-220 knobs which will work but they are green rather than the black
used on the tuner.  Has any one had success changing knob colors and if so
how did you do it?  Any suggestions appreciated. .
