Classic Heathkits

Fellow Greenies,

The infamous Heath nut starter was the brain-child (er, part) of Bjorn
Heyning, the guy who started writing Heath Stories many years ago and led
our famous author K8TP to write his own version "Heath Nostalgia".  Bjorn
was one of the first engineers Howard Anthony hired when starting the
"Kit" company.  He helped develop a number of products as well as other
tools used for kit assembly.  Guess the idea came to him one day at lunch
while playing with a straw.  Bjorn was generously rewarded for his
inspirition; he received a lifetime guarantee of a job at Heath.  And he
used it!  He worked until close to his 70'th birthday.
