SB401/301 combo on CW

Hi Stew and Gang-

I don't have a solution but wanted to mention (my ignorance) that I also
have a 401/303 combo acquired recently . . . and thought there was a
"fault" that needed fixing--that blairing sidetone in my headset when
attempting CW--so I'd be interested too . . .

one other "fault" I have is the carrier level in CW seems always 100 Watts
. . . I am unable to reduce by an apprecialbe amount via the mic/carrier
level control (say down to 20 or 30 Watts even) . . . is this normal?

AND my PTT circuit not working therefore I use VOX very carefully set when
in SSB . . . but I'm just procratinating now . . . any suggestions are
greatly appreciated.

73,

John, K3NJ
