Tuner upkeep

Ray...

I have a 26 uH 1/4" edge wound ribbon inductor (rotary) in both my
transmatch, and "2x813" kilowatt amplifier...

I've had very good luck with CASTOR OIL, believe it or not! I dip the end
of a small screwdriver into a bottle of it, and apply SPARINGLY on the
sliding contact and axles of the pick-up / contact wheels. About once a
year, or so, does the trick for me...

Used to have the pick-up wheels pop off without the lube---not anymore!
