active antenna HD-1424

Hello to the Heath List,I have an HD-1424 active antenna (swl) that is
need of some active TLC.The DC plug shorted out inside the unit (Bent
90degrees,thanks to jake the dog).I suspect the transistors were fried
and wanted to replace them.They include an MRF502 and two
PN4858's.Anyone have any suggestions as far as transistor substitutes
or  some steps to take pertaining to troubleshooting.Used this little
kit for years and would like to get hooked up again.ANy help would be
