Yes they did have dark green panels.  I have one of each, and side by
side, they are quite different.  Interestingly, the one with the dark
green panel also has a matching 303' with it; the 303 has the bluish
tint and thus doesn't match.  I find it hard to believe that they were
using two different color schemes at the same time; the more likely
senario is that someone acquired the 401' first, used, then bought a new
303'....My two 310's, and one 301' are dark green....my personally
purchaced 303' and 401', bought six months apart in 1973, match...(blue
tint)....according to R&R, there are at least three different shades...
