I didn't even know there was such a thing as a 5000 volt electrolytic
capacitor!

However, I've seen some high voltage film and ceramic-disc types intended
for TV service at a local supply house. I'll stop by and make a list of
what they have in stock; their prices are at list, however: no bargains
(around $3 to $6 EACH). And it may be that the majority of the caps rated
over 3 kV are all disc ceramic; I'll make a list.

Then, if anyone wants any, they can contact the store personally (which
also has a web site, incredibly!). If the store clerk can't find what
you're asking for, I may make another trip to pick it up and mail to you.

But do have a look in both DigiKey and Mouser as they do have a few high
voltage varieties that you might be able to use. I presume these are
probably for CRT circuits such as the HO-10/13 and SB610/614/620/624 (WAS
there a 624?? can't remember now, and I don't see one on Dale's matrix)?
