IM-17 VOM

     I have a question concerning the Heath IM-17 VOM.

     Mine is currently not operational.  I can replace the C cell battery,
     no problem.  But does anyone know of a source for the 8.4 V Mercury
     cell?  I have searched all local sources and don't seem to locate any.
     Perhaps there was a mod (?)  that converted this from 8.4 v to
     something more readily available?
