Hi Gang,
I'm in the process of restoring a HW-101. After a lot of work, I have had
it working and on the air. Now I would like to clean it up, especially
the PCBs which are extreamly dirty. I have removed the front panel and
VFO but now I need some advice on how to clean the boards. I've seen them
clean Tektronic scopes by just dunking the in water, spraying them off
with water and air then put them in a warm oven. Has anyone tried this on
a Heathkit chassis?? What kind of solvent is safe?? Will any of the
components soak up water?? Any other ideas??

On another topic -- I'm looking for a 3393.4 KHz (LSB) crystal. The one
in this rig is too low in freq. Just before I got this rig, I sold a
modulator board and now I need a part from it. Anyway does anyone have
a spare they are willing to part with??

Thanks es
