COD CASH vs CASH UP FRONT !!

It seems to me after being shafted twice now with two more in doubt that there is a real
problem with sending money up front for gear. I totally realize the problems in sending
out COD Cash as the person might not accept it and it could cost the shipping fees or come back
damaged. At least you get the gear back and if its insured ( Which it should be through UPS )
you are out ONLY the shipping costs but at least have the gear or the insurance claim. You might
have lost a sale to another bidder, but you can very possibly resell the item. However, if you send
money up front and get don't get the gear, you are totally out. It would seem COD CASH is the far
less of the two evils. This makes me wonder about sellers that won't send it this way and insist on
money up front. I very simply will not do any more business this way as I am now out at least 400.00
and possibly more and know others that have been out as well. I would suggest that buyers start
insisting on COD CASH and stop sending any more money up front, as this obviously is a MUCH
higher risk. Its really too bad it needs to be this way as I KNOW that the vast majority of sellers and
buyers are honorable and the majority of business takes part with no problems. Once you lose a
couple times your attitude changes, and think of how you would feel after being shafted more than
once for the TOTAL amount of the sale, not just the shipping charges. Of course with the way ham
radio and the country in general are going, the bad sellers might just send a weighted box of junk COD
instead of the product. You also don't dare mention any names because of a lawsuit threat. I hope
people on E-Bay read this as it is bad there as well as other list serve buy/sells. 73's Steve
