Need Battery for GD-1246A Rechargeable Light

My Heathkit GD-1246A light has the following (lantern look-a-like) battery:

Technacell # EP640 rechargeable battery
6v @ 4AH

3 7/8 in high x 2 5/8 in x 2 5/8

Internal batteries are potted so individual replacement probably impossible.
What are my alternatives???
