I read of your delema through the heath at listserv.tempe.gov and thought I
would respond directly. Not so long ago, as an undergraduate, I worked for a
time as a technician in - of all places - the microforms dept. of a
university library. You mentioned that you had tried, with no success, the
library. My suggestion would be to try a "university" library. Usually they
have extensive resources available at either no cost or very little (10 cents
a copy - multiple pages can be printed on one copy). If you would like, I can
give you the name of the director of such a dept. in such a university.
Forget paying $30.00 for a reader unless you are going to begin your own
micfoforms library! What a racket... I hope I have given you some direction
that will be useful.
