Typically "W" suffix tubes were ruggidized for mobile (vehicle, aircraft,
marine) service. This included better mechanical support of internal elements
to reduce microphonics, also some allowed for additional dissipation and in
some cases for odd (inverted) mounting configurations.

Please note that some W tubes may have reduced full power frequency ratings,
this includes increases in some internal characteristics.

regards to all

Dom
