OK, since my posting this morning opining that unmodified Sixers are not
all that rare, I have received several notes from more knowledgeable Heath
collectors than I assuring me that such a unit is indeed rare. So, with
that in mind:
For Sale:
Rare, mostly original, unmodified Heath Sixer. Vintage 1967. Missing the
original mike, the clear plastic cover to the license holder, and a couple
screws. Some scratches and scuffs. Two crystals. Photocopied manual. Works
on xmit & rcv, at least it did a year or so ago when I actually used it in
a QSO with our inimitable list guru, AI7R (he was using an Icom 706). I
also have an original, unmodified companion vibrator mobile power supply.
It's pretty scuffed up and grungy but it's complete except for the manual.
I don't know if it works but it did when last used in about 1969. I'll also
throw in an old crystal desk mike that, while not original, works fine with
the Sixer.
Your chance to own a rare working and unmodified example of one of the most
popular Heath radios of the late 60's.
Price: $500.00 plus shipping, or trade for Collins KWM-2
