New Heathkit

Received my GR-1009 Portable AM Radio KIT from Heathkit today.

Observations:

1.  Shipping label from Heathkit Company - cool

2.  Parts in little marked sacks with rubber bands - cool

3.  Construction manual like I remember with large pictorials - cool, no
yellow covers - bummer

4.  Parts in bubble wrap and plastic bags - not like the old days but still
cool

5.  Shipping box not marked "Heathkit" - bummer

6.  "Because we can no longer obtain an earphone from the manufacturer, one
has not been supplied with your kit" - bummer

7.  Front of manual marked, "Copyright 1999, 1995, 1981, Heathkit Company,
Inc., All Rights Reserved"
