Also, keep Bakelite away from water and don't soak it in water as it dulls
the finish and can ruin the knob.  Use lacquer thinner to clean Bakelite and
then polish with a fine abrasive like Turtle Wax car rubbing compound and
then either a coat or two of Turtle wax or other wax based polish.  I think
the Armorall has water in it and while it will shine the piece, the shine
will wear off faster than a wax shine.  Do not soak Bakelite in Armorall.
