Heath Mohawk RX-1 receiver. For those who don't know, it has 160-10M
non-WARC, plus 22-26 Mhz converter band, dual conversion, product
detector, selectable USB and LSB, notch filter on 50Khz last IF, 5
position selectable selectivity, lots of tubes, 60 lbs or so. Built CA
1960, with both manuals (RF deck was factory-built with separate book).
Front panel, lettering, facade, and bezels all in good condition with
just one small 1/8 /x 3/8" mark by AF volume control, cabinet has one
small (1/8") hole on bottom, and five same size on rear, and could use
repaint but no dents. No holes on sides, top or front panel. All
original chrome plated knobs, none peeling. Clean inside. Electrically
very good except for light PS hum, and the typical RX1 ills of drifting
HF oscillator on upper bands, and lousy AGC. Previous owner installed
solid state rectifiers, dropping resistor and a GE electrolytic can in
place of original can and tube. This mod could be easily undone, and is
the only internal mod that I am aware of. This receiver has done
faithful duty for 22 years with me, but needs to go to make room for
another receiver. Asking $125 OBO plus shipping from 07465, or pickup in
NNJ/NYC metro area.
