Heathkit SW-717 Shortwave Receiver

Hi All.

Speculation on unbuilt Heathkits is really getting extravagent. To wit :
an unbuilt Heathkit SW-717 is currently listed at $320.00 at you know
where. And that's not the final price!!

I have a built one which I completed in the mid 70's. I think it cost
50.00-75.00 then.

The SW - 717 is an OK receiver, but nothing too spectacular. It is
single conversion with just OK sensitivity. My Grundig 650 and JRC 525
runs circles around it. So what is all the speculation about?? Just to
say it is unbuilt!
