jack foultz's apology

Ladies and Gentlemen -

I think we have sunk to the level of "Ford versus Chevy". Everyone on this reflector is
fully entitled to his or her opinion about how things should or should not be done.

My sole interest was to bring to the groups attention some 'pieces' which were for sale at
another location. Every day, I get two or three to a dozen messages looking for a
specific part. If one of the parts to which I referred was the final part that you needed
to finish your 'project radio' - would you really care where it came from, or would you
try to purchase it to finish your project? I know what I would do!

Almost thirty of you have e-mailed me with kind words of encouragement - that tells me
something about the ( high ) quality of the vast majority of the people here. If one or a
hundred of you feel that the individuals to whom I 'directed' you were doing something so
wrong - why didn't you write THEM, instead of starting a firestorm here among friends?

And, as to my reference to having been employed by Heath while holding ham lcense - I'll
say it plain and simple. I don't hold a PhD, or a 'Double E' or teach at a university -
but I was "One of the Ham's at Heathkit" for a number of years - and, yes, I AM proud of
that achievement - so, if you feel a need, the pile of stones is right over there in the
corner. If I 'sinned', it was only in trying to bring some Heath parts to the attntion of
anyone who might NEED one or more of them! Around here, that's called friendship and
respect for your fellow man.

Now, throw all the stones you want!!! My 'sins' are obviously worthy of the worst you can
/ already have dished out! 73's - this 'station' is going silent!
