The very best pot cleaner I've found is Channel Master "Shield" part
number 52578. This has a silicone base so it cleans and lubricates. It
contains 1,1,1, Trichloroethane and unfortunately, it has been banned by
the EPA. If you are on good terms with your parts house, you may be
able to get a can from their "private stock" in the back room. I concur
that under no circumstances should you ever use Blue Stuff on ANYTHING!
What's the problem with WD-40? I've found that it's a fast and easy way
to baste turkeys or ham. Makes a nice shiny glaze. Cleans your oven at
the same time. There is a slight aftertaste...
