99% isopropyl by the gallon (6 gallons per case) is what we used to clean
fiber optics components, including connectors. I thought denatured alcohol
wasn't recommended for cleaning; or maybe I never saw it mentioned. The
manual for our fiber splicers recommended 99% isopropyl, I remember.
