Sounds like your problem lies on the oscillator board in the ten meter
section of the HFO.
Look for a bad xtal at Y108 ( 42.830 Mhz ) or improper tuning of L132, L116,
L117 or bad diodes or improper biasing of same at D136, D137, D116, D117.
Solder joints should be checked, too as well as SW1, section 8... the one
with the grey wire.
Transmit / Receive freq. formula:  HFO - VFO - BFO = transmit/ Receive freq.
Hint: BFO runs at IF freq., (  APPROXIMATELY 8831 kHz ).
