HR 10 PROBLEM

I have an HR 10 receiver which is exhibiting an interesting
problem.  When I tweak the antenna capacitor, the receive frequency
changes.  I dont have a full manual on the thing, but with the
abbreviated one I got from a Heath manual source, which has basically
the schematic and specs, I checked the wiring with the schematic and
I dont seem to have a wiring error.
     Anyone else ever have this problem?  Anyone with suggestions?
