Frozen slugs et al

I've used small amounts of liquid silicone as a lubricant with no
noticeable effect upon the paper coil forms. I used the aerosol
variety,
but if you want to play it safe you can spray a small amount on a
piece
of polyethylene film, let the volatiles evaporate and then wipe it
onto the slug.
