Gentle Keepers of the Green
Thanks to all who expressed ideas and interest in the SB102,
cookin at 50 watts. There were a number of queries concerning some
readings, so here is the latest:
HV 800V , B+ 300, BIAS -125 at the source...
Tuned up for max out into dummy load thru calibrated meter 50 Watts
On the SB102 Meter HV 800, Plate Nearly 300mils, Grid depending
on position of MIC/CW pot reads 0 at full CCW to Needle peg at full CW.
At the 50 Watt output, where increasing MIC/CW does not increase
output, Grid on the meter is around .2 to .3.....
Interesting to note that during the loading and testing to obtain
readings, in the LSB/USB PTT key down I see Plate 50mils, which is I
believe correct. But just now when speaking in mic, I see NO
output...hmmmmm either I did not do something right..
or something just went south..still see 50 Watts on cw/tune...
Back to the bench..
Thanks for all the replys....there were many..
