Stu et al,

That "FV"  is NOT a  57-xx part number, it's a 56-xx.  The 56-xx parts
were the non-rectifier diodes, including zeners,  hot-carriers,
germaniums and varicaps.  The part he's looking for is the tuning cap for
the VCO, and it's an MV1628  or equivalent.  Probably about 15pF nominal
with an input voltage limit of 20V.

Me thinks you are thinking of teh 57-27, which was for all practical
purposes a 1N4007 before it was invented.  The '27 diodes were 500PIV,
1A.
