Where'd all the Heath parts go?

Fellow Heathens..

    Maybe one of you ex-Heath employees can tell me....whatever happened
to all of the parts stock at the time Heath went out of the kit
business? I was just wondering if there was one major liquidator, or if
the stuff just got scattered to the four winds. I have been following
the list for quite a while now, and it seems that a few Heath parts show
up here and a few there. For instance you can find a few Heathkit knob
inserts at Surplus Sales of Nebraska under the "Collins Parts" section,
while Multi-Volti has a few Heathkit transformers, etc.
   Whatever happened to some of the hard-to-find items like wafer
switches, crystals, filters, etc. I was just wondering if there was
anyplace where one could look to find somewhat of an assortment of
miscellaneous Heath parts. Thanks for the bandwidth.
