Fellow Heathites:

While I know this has been covered before, I thought I would add or perhaps
re-add the following: While working on a Heath AD-1013 audio scope, I
found three bad HV caps in the power supply. In searching for a cheap
replacement, I found that All Electronics has a small collection of
polypropylene caps in that value range. The unit in question was .1uf at
1600 volts. All had replacements at .1 and .33uf at 2000 volts. The .1uf
caps were less than half the diameter of the original, the .33uf the size
of the original .1 uf Heath caps. I seem to remember that sometimes size
of replacement hv caps in Heath scopes was an issue. Looks like these
puppies may fit the bill. Price under $3.00 each, and no I don't have
stock in All!
