Heathkit IM-5228 VTVM

Thanks to everyone for their comments about the IM-5228 VTVM. I bought
mine as a kit in the mid '70s. The selling point was the extra large
meter. The unit is built like a tank - very military like in
construction. It should last forever. The beautiful meter was made in
Japan by Ideal Meter Company(wonder if they are still in business now!).

Dave is right - tube meters are less affected by RF fields. Plus tube
meters can take alot of punishment in the field. I will take a tube
meter over a solid state one anyday.

I will post specifications of the IM-5228 soon.
