DX-40 Mod?

Hello.

Anyone have the cover off their dx-40? ...

Mine has a 47 ohm resistor from oscillator grid pin 2 to the
xtal/vfo switch pin 12 which does not show on my old photocopy
schematic. Anyone know if this was A Heath correction which didn't
make it to the schematic or a prior user mod? Removing it makes
no difference that I can tell. Osc still chirps badly...
