Temperature sensors For ID 4001

Just wondering if anybody out there  has a spare temperature sensor for
my ID 4001 they want to sell. I just recieved an email from a place in
Michigan that has them but they must have been gold plated or somethign
because at $45  and $55 a pop seems a bit on the outragous side.
Possibly there is anothere way to do the same thing either with a LM 34
or something similar. Somenoe with experience in this area I would like
to hear from. So in the mean time I"ll be satisfied with just the inside
sensor.
