Anyone have a dead scanner for mechanical parts?

Hello:

I'm looking for a fried, dropped or otherwise non-functional pc flatbed
scanner for a mechanical project (I want the linear slide that is some, like
Microtek, for example).

You know, something that warranty wouldn't cover so it won't go back to the
factory.

In keeping with list etiquette/requirements for the two lists I'm posting
to, the project will be used for audio and Heath projects.

Thanks for checking your junque boxes (quaint term, huh? How about junk
room,or junk level like I have?)

Murray
