GH-17A question

I got a Heathkit GH-17A soldering station on a trade.  The transformer is
black and burned where no writing is visible anywhere on it.  I want to
replace it and get it working but I do not know what transformer to look for.
 If any one has a manual or can give the information on the transformer I
will be greatful.  Please email me.
