Coil Winder?

Mike,
        A simple hand-cranked machine (new) can cost around $1,500.00.
found the mechanics of a coil-winding machine at a local junk yard and
am still in the process of restoring it.

        You might try looking for an older contraption called a coil
master.  It was a hand-cranked machine that was sold through Burstein-
Applebee, among others.
