Quality Heath components

I've got to concur with Chuck Penson on quality of Heath parts.  During my
4 years there I never (I repeat NEVER) had to compromise on the parts
quality of the parts I put in my products (SS-9000, HX-1681, etc).  We did
have to watch our part's cost (after all if you don't make a profit, you
can't stay in business) but that was due to smart design and not by
Purchasing buying cheap parts.  Engineering may have goofed some times on
parts stress, etc but not on the quality.  Our QC Department was a sticker
for quality not only in the way that the kit went together but the way
everything worked when done.  Ask Jerry Tolsma - he was a bit of a ...
well, let's say he gave me fits by being (justifiably, I might add) picky
about things during his tenure in QC.
