Hi Gang...
WOW!!! I couldn't believe the response. Thank you all so much! I was
looking for companies that sold NOS, and had completely forgotten about
ECG/NTE substitutes. I didn't even know they were still around. The
greater Seattle area, for it's size, has only three real electronic parts
places left that is consumer orientated, and one of these is trying to
eliminate that portion of it's business. I found one of them close by (35
minutes) that actually stock NTE (and are even willing to order onesy
twosy's)... got a brand new substitution book and two transistors for less
than $5.00 each. The manager was dissapointed, however, when I only wanted
two (2) of the green epoxy (mil spec I think) TO-3 cases to mount them with
(@$1.18 each, list)... appears he has a whole warehouse full (TO-66's too)
that no one seems to want.
