Slide rules

Overheard in a Radio Shack many years ago. Salesman was describing one
of those Micronta slide rules to a prospective customer.

"It's easy. See, you just slide this middle thing 'til the first mark is
over the 2 on the bottom scale. Then slide this slider over so the line
is at the 2, and there's the answer on the bottom.  2 times 2 equals
3.95! "
