Hi Pete & the green gang,

Yep, I still own a TI-59 - great machine :-) I also have
several HP classic calculators, and use them when I get in
an "RPN sort of mood" ;) Calculator fanatics are alive and
well on the Internet just as we are here on the Heath
reflector. Some ROM modules and mag strips for the TI-59
are sold and traded privately on the Net and there may be
a third-party dealer still left. There are user groups for
the die-hard fanatics -- devoted to the more famous
machines, and those folks generally know where to locate
spares and repair services. You might first try
contacting:

CalculatingEdge

Corvallis, OR 97330
(888) EDU-CALC (338-2252) - Sales, Customer Service

Classic calculator web sites include:

GL and don't ever sell it :-)

Conrad -- NN6CW ... by the way, did Heath sell a hand-held
calculator ?

Hi, "greenies". It's that "tannie" & "grayie" again!!
While we're on this hot topic of slide rules &
calculators, are
there any TI folks out there that remember the TI-59?
Great
calculator!! Of course TI tells me that they no longer
support
this gem. I would very much like to find a source for the
magnetic strip cards & perhaps even the various "library
modules" (ROM's). Mostly the strips, though. Thanks for
the
bytes!! Do not have access to internet :(
