Hi, everyone!
Had a great week-end at the Baltimore Hamfest! Picked up a real nice
VF-2031 2m HT for ten bucks! Was also rooting around in some guy's junk
box and found an HWA-7 power supply (for the HW-7/8). Asked him wat he
wanted for it and he said "Well, is it worth seven bucks to you?" Darned
right it is!! Needs a little cleaning, but heck, for seven bucks, I can do
that.
Anyway, I'd like to add CTCSS to the HT. I see Heath listed a VFA-2031-5
encoder accessory. My assumption is that finding one would be almost
impossible, but if you have one to sell, let's talk. What I could use is a
manual and/or schematic. I figure I can problably build a reasonable
replacement given that. I'm not looking for historical significance, I
only want to get on the local repeater! If you have one that you'd be
willing to sell or copy, please let me know. Be glad to pay costs.
Finally, if anyone has a genuine simulated leather carrying case,
VFA-2031-2 to sell, I'd also be interested.
73 all,
Paul, wb9hgz
